    Airports and Directions

    ..

There are two airports near Cape Cod, both of which are about the same distance away.  One is in Boston, MA and the other is in Providence, RI.

    From Boston Logan:

Mapquest has pre-made directions and a map (English).  Because Mapquest directions are often confusing, we recommend our directions and their map.

    1. Coming out of the airport, you will be faced with a fork in the road. You will want the Callahan Tunnel fork that leads downtown. The Callahan Tunnel is a toll tunnel. The current toll is $2.
    2. The next tricky part is coming out of the tunnel. You are looking for I-93 SOUTH. Drive slowly and be prepared to change lanes. Boston drivers will not easily allow you a lane change, so you will need to be prepared to be aggressive. This is one of the most stressful traffic areas in the United States.
    3. Once on I-93 SOUTH, you are in good shape. Take I-93 SOUTH for a while past the towns of Milton and Quincy until you get near Braintree. Take exit 7, a left exit for Route 3 SOUTH to Braintree/Cape Cod.
    4. Stay on 3 SOUTH for approximately 43 miles. You will then encounter a rotary. Cape Cod is filled with these traffic rotaries. You want the first exit here, US-6 WEST.
    5. You will be on US-6 WEST for approximately 4 miles before you encounter the Route 25/Route 28 SOUTH ramp towards Providence/Boston/Falmouth. Take that ramp and merge onto US-6 EAST. Enter the next rotary and take the second exit onto MA-28 SOUTH.
    6. You are now on Cape Cod heading towards Falmouth. MA-28 SOUTH will take you along the south shore of the cape and directly into Falmouth.

    From Providence T.F. Green:

Mapquest has pre-made directions and a map (English). Because Mapquest directions are often confusing, we recommend our directions and their map.

    1. From T.F. Green airport, take I-95 NORTH.
    2. Drive on I-95 NORTH for about 7 miles until exit 20. Take exit 20, I-195 EAST/US-6 EAST towards East Providence/Cape Cod.
    3. Drive on I-195 EAST for approximately 44 miles until Route 25 EAST (exit 22A). Take Route 25 EAST towards Cape Cod/The Islands.
    4. After about 10 miles, Route 25 becomes US-6. Enter the next rotware and take the second exit onto MA-28 SOUTH.
    5. You are now on Cape Cod heading towards Falmouth. MA-28 SOUTH will take you along the south shore of the cape and directly into Falmouth.

    Places to Stay

    ..

There are many beautiful places to stay in Cape Cod, and within Falmouth where our wedding will be.  We tried to reserve room blocks, but since this is high season on Cape Cod no hotels will let us.  But, we can recommend some hotels for you to look into:

The Tides Motel - right across the harbor from the reception/ceremony, and water on 3 sides!

Carleton Circle Motel - VERY reasonable rates (for high season on Cape Cod), pool, and free internet.

Seaside Inn - right on the ocean, but slightly farther from Falmouth.

Mariner’s Point - right across the harbor from the reception/ceremony and close to the beach.

Beach Breeze Inn -just around the corner from one of the public beaches and the reception/ceremony site is nearby as well.

Hilts’z Harborfront Inn - small nine-unit family owned inn with nice ocean views.

Red Horse Inn - just off of Falmouth Harbor and close to the reception/ceremony site, but a little way from the beach.

Holiday Inn - ALREADY SOLD OUT THE WEEKEND OF AUGUST 14th!!!

Sea Crest - oceanfront resort, we think its overpriced for the amenities, but everything will be during high season on Cape Cod…and it IS right on the ocean.

    Important Tips

One important thing to consider is that hotels on Cape Cod fill up VERY quickly, so reservations will need to be made quite far in advance.  If you don’t find anything you like based on the suggestions you see here, typing “hotels near Falmouth, MA” into Google Maps will give you a list of hotels and will show you their locations as well.  Also, less expensive accommodation can usually be found off-Cape which includes anywhere West of the Bourne bridge - about a 30-45 minute drive.  If you do a Google Maps search for “Cape Cod Bay,” this will include places west of Sandwich and Buzzard’s Bay.  Some cities to try are: Wareham, White Horse Beach, Cedar Bushes, Vallersville, Ellisville, Cedarville, and Plymouth.
